For those that don’t remember:
I was about to complain about the XBOX meme being called ‘old’, but then it struck me that the ‘ box, and the attendant memes, debuted 20 years ago .

I always found the xbox size complaints a bit weird. I mean you generally aren’t moving it around so who cares how big it is? I don’t think anybody was ever making fun of DVD players or VCRs for being big (though man I had an old top-loading VCR that was huge).
Ad for what it’s worth I (and I do not have huge hands) thought T he Duke was more comfortable than the revised controllers. Meanwhile, I found the contemporary PS2 controllers tiny, cramped, and uncomfortable.
I will however make fun of the launch 360 for being absurdly loud all day long (also the whole Dreamcast, with internal power supply, was pretty much exactly twice the size of the original 360 external power brick, which while again, doesn’t really matter, is still amusing )

On the one hand, I can understand being put off by chonks like the original ‘Box if you have limited space or whatever, but on the other I always thought anyone who was honestly complaining about it never had to deal with true absolute units of early tech & video games:
